Terms of Service

The product

CreatorTools is free Windows software from VirtualMediaGroup. It runs on your PC and serves OBS browser docks and overlays on localhost. It is not a hosted overlay SaaS. The public site for the product is https://virtualmediagroup.tv. Privacy practices, including Google / YouTube login, are at /privacy.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use CreatorTools on Windows computers you control, for your own streaming and production. You may not reverse engineer the installer except where the law allows, resell the app as your own product, or use our names or logos to imply we endorse a stream or business without permission.

Google and YouTube

YouTube features use Google OAuth and the YouTube Data API. By connecting YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. We only request read-only access (youtube.readonly) so the app can show your channel and live stats in OBS. We do not post, modify, or delete YouTube content on your behalf. Google’s rules for user data are described in our Privacy Policy.

You must comply with YouTube’s and Google’s terms, including live chat and community guidelines. If Google or YouTube revoke the app’s API access, those features may stop until we ship an update.

Twitch, Kick, and your accounts

Platform logins happen in the desktop app. Redirect URLs are on localhost. You are responsible for the accounts you connect and for keeping your PC secure. Disconnect a platform in the app if you no longer want it linked.

Acceptable use

Do not use CreatorTools or this site to break platform rules, harass people, scrape or overload Twitch, Kick, YouTube, or Google APIs, or interfere with other users. We may refuse support or stop distributing builds if the software is abused.

Updates

New versions are published as GitHub Releases. The website checks GitHub for the latest installer. The app can prompt you to update. Dock URLs on localhost are intended to stay the same across updates. We do not promise that every release will be compatible with every OBS or Windows version.

No warranty

CreatorTools and this website are provided “as is”. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every setup. To the fullest extent permitted by English law, we exclude implied warranties. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Liability

We are not liable for lost viewers, lost revenue, banned platform accounts, or data stored only on your machine. Our total liability for any claim about the free app or this website is limited to £0, except where the law says otherwise.

This website

Information on the site (including version numbers and download links) is provided so you can find the current public build. Studio work at TheVirtualMediaGroup.com is a separate offering and may have its own terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you may bring a claim in your local courts if consumer law requires it.
